  Sunday, November 23 at 5:30 pm Today was a beautiful day out, this was right as the sun was setting. 37*F Sunrise was at 7:47am and Sunset was at 5:14pm which gave us a total of 9 hours and 26 minutes of daylight. Smell: I smelled the fresh air, but that's about all. Felt: I felt a lot of leaves under my feet, and I felt cold because I had shorts on. Heard: I heard the leaves crunch under my feet, I also heard the branches hitting each other in the trees. Seen: I saw through the trees a lot more easily, I saw a lot of leaves. To compare this field study to my prior field study, I would say that there are a few patterns and a few changes. One pattern is that more and more leaves are falling, basically all of them. When the leaves first started falling the they changed colors and were lighter colors, but now I feel like most of the leaves are either brown or orange. One change is the tree that has been laying on it's side, I don't know for sure, but I feel like it's cha...

Saturday, October 25 at 1:30pm The weather outside is starting to get a lot colder. 47*F Sunrise was at 7:50am and sunset was at 7:20 which is a total of 11 hours and 30 minutes Smell: Still wasn't really smelling anything out there. Felt: I felt a lot more leaves under my feet and a chilly mist in the air. Heard: I heard a few birds chirping, but not a lot besides that. Seen: I saw a lot of leaves on the ground that were yellow and orange, I also saw through the trees a lot more easily and could even see a house. To compare this to my last field study I would say that last time the leaves were starting to change colors and now this time a lot of them have fallen onto the ground. In addition, the trees are a lot more sad looking because of that. Some are still really pretty with all the color change, but I bet next field study most of the leaves will be gone.

Field Notes: October 15, 2025 at 3:30pm The weather outside was pretty warm, nice and sunny. 62*F 7:57am - 7:01pm a total of 11 hours and 3 minutes Smell: It didn't really smell like anything. Felt: I felt a little breeze and the leaves on the ground. Heard: Wind blowing the leaves, there were a few turkeys gobbling. Seen: I saw some turkeys, leaves, trees, and wood To compare this visit to my prior visit i'd say that they are pretty similar. This time I can tell that there's more leaves on the ground and less leaves on the trees. I also noticed that the leaves are changing different colors. The last thing I noticed was that it is starting to just look more sad outside.  Hard to see, but there's the turkeys!  Leaves changing color!
